Thomas P. McKeown

Thomas P. McKeown, 82, of Montgomery, formerly of Chicago, IL passed away on February 20, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 22, 1938 in Chicago, IL the son of James P. and Clarice M. (Davis) McKeown. On November 16, 1963 he was united in marriage to Barbara Williamson, they spent the next 57 years together. Tom had a passion for working and had a great work ethic. He retired as a conductor from the railroad in 2000 after 44 years of dedicated service. During that time he also held positions with the Chicago Fire Department and drove a concrete truck. He enjoyed fishing and also had his pilot license. In his younger years, he was active in youth baseball within the city of Chicago.

His wife, Barbara McKeown; children, Bonnie (John) Nebelle and Thomas (Mary Hilger) McKeown; grandchildren, Andrew McKeown and Alexandra Nebelle as well as Jon and Ashley Hilger; sister, Patricia Kuzma; and several nieces and nephews survive Tom. His parents, James and Clarice McKeown, precede him in death.

Family will receive guests on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Avenue, Montgomery, IL 60538.
