Robert Cano, 84 of Aurora, passed away at his home Friday March 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born August 5, 1939 in Iowa City, Iowa, son of Magdaleno and Maria (Rodriguez) Cano. Bob was the owner of his own low voltage contracting firm for many years. He enjoyed golfing, puzzles, bowling, bird watching but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 23 years Ruth, 2 daughters; Catherine (Steven) Paige, Jennifer (Terry) Jacobsen, 2 sons; Andrew (Brenda), Ben (Amy), 2 step-daughters, Rebecca (Paul) Adler, Terri (Dan) Kowolski, 3 step-sons; Scott (Pesline) Hagemann, Tom (Linda) McElwaine, Matthew (LaVonda) Hagemann; 23 grandchildren; Bryan Paige, Brandon, (Michelle) Paige, Madeline (Hunter) Cook, Rachel Eckman, Shane Cano, Olivia Cano, Nicole Jacobsen, Ryan Jacobsen, Taylor Jacobsen, Erin (Joe) Azzi, Abigail Jacobsen, David, Jeffrey, Erich, A.J., Taurine, Bradley Hagemann, Carl Kowolski, Elizabeth Kalweit, Jenny, Michael and Erin ; 13 great grandchildren; Bryan, Josh, Aubrey, Aiden, Londyn, Magdalena, Camila, Elijah, Maddox, Hudson, Annabelle, Zach, Victoria; 3 sisters; Elena (the late Fidel) Murillo, Delores (the late Ken) Barkley and Rosemary (Edward) Gorman. 2 brothers; Arthur Cano, Vincent Cano and his 2 faithful dogs, Brodie and Lola along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Laverne, and 3 sisters; Mary ( the late Joe) Martinez, Josephine (the late John) Arenas and Molly (the late Joe) Rivera. Family will be receiving guests Thursday April 4, 2024 from 2 pm until time of service at 6pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery.
