Marlyn Glenn Beiningen

Marlyn “Benny” Glenn Beiningen, 92, of Oswego, IL and formerly of Dent, Minnesota passed away on January 27, 2023.  He was born on June 21, 1930 the son of Amanda and Ole Beiningen. Benny was part of the birth of the Air Force in 1947.  He served in the Air Force for over 26 years, during which he also became an Ophthalmologist and owned his own Optical Store. He was very involved with the American Legion and VFW for years after his retirement.  Benny was also an entrepreneur with various side businesses promoting health and wellbeing. He loved his lake home and boating, enjoyed karaoke and making people sing and dance along to Hank Williams. His favorite meal and drink were buck burgers and MN hardwater (beer with ice), and getting “Bent in Dent” (his favorite bar motto.)

Marlyn is survived by his children, Tracy Boileve and Kim Beiningen; two sisters, Marvill Nelson and Anette Zierke; and one brother, Elton Beiningen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Amanda and Ole Beiningen; and his stepfather, Helmer Carlson.

All services are private at this time. There will be memorial services in Minnesota at a future date.
