Marjorie L. Williams

Marjorie Lou Williams, 64, of Montgomery, IL passed away on August 27, 2022. She was born July 3, 1958 the daughter of Barbara and Joseph Wells. She met the love of her life whom she married and accepted the Lord alongside him and spent the rest of her days witnessing and living her life to emulate her relationship with the Lord. Marjorie had a lot of love for her family and friends around her. James and Marjorie did foster care for 11 years and when asked about it stated they stopped counting at 50 children that they took care of. They were able to adopt three of those many children but given the opportunity they would have adopted each and every one of them. Marjorie loved to do hair she got her cosmetology license back in the 80’s and kept that going till her death. She loved nature and wanted to nurture that after raising her children. She had the most beautiful gardens and was able to even be a part of the preservation of nature. She loved feeding the birds, planting flowers for the butterflies and enjoyed sitting outside with her critters whether it was with her dog Amber or her cat Smokey. Marjorie loved spending time painting in her free time and decorating the house. Marjorie would have given the clothes off her back if someone needed them, if you were hungry, she would always state “well let me make you something”. Her love for her family was unmeasurable and wanted to spend as much time as she could with each and every one of them.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James Williams; children, Genevia Holmes (Kess), Christina Williams (John), Isaiah Williams, and Anna Williams (Joel); many grandchildren, Jameca, Joseph, Aidan, Kayla, Quinton, Zephyr, Laila, and Ivy; siblings, Laura Tito (Joe), Scott Wells (Tammy), and Cynthia Wells; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Barbara Wells; her brother, Timothy Wells; and her mother and father-in-law, Marilyn Williams and Charles Williams.

Donations under Marjorie’s name may be made out to Christina Williams which will go directly to James Williams to help him at this time.

Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Avenue, Montgomery, IL 60538. A memorial service will take place same day, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM also at Dieterle Memorial Home. Inurnment will be private.
