Lindsay S. Blair

Lindsay S. Blair, 33, of Sandwich, IL passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on October 13, 2021. Lindsay was born on October 16, 1987 in Downers Grove, IL the daughter of Thomas and Kathryn (Jelinek) Blair. Lindsay was a beautiful soul with a servant’s heart. While she never had children of her own, she was a natural at being a mom to her niece, Evelyn and nephew, Daniel as well as Hayley, her special soon-to-be step-daughter. Lindsay was so loving and kind in all her ways. She had a smile that could light up a room and her bubbly, outgoing personality was simply contagious. She wore her heart on her sleeve and she had a love for fashion-her personality was known by her choice of clothing and sunglasses. She was a gifted singer and never missed an opportunity to share her gift with others.  She shared a special bond with her brother Kevin that is beyond words; the lifelong memories that that they shared will forever be cherished.

In 2006 she graduated from Hamilton High School in Anza, CA and later moved back to Illinois. She was currently a manager at Best Western Hotel in Oswego, IL. Her kindred spirit will be deeply missed by each and every life she touched.

She is survived by her parents; Thomas (Kim) Blair and Kathryn Blair; siblings Kevin Blair and Sara Blair; step-grandmother, Elaine Stern; longtime boyfriend Ben Weihrauch and his beloved daughter Hayley who Lindsay loved dearly. She is also survived by her silly wiener dog, Oscar; niece, Evelyn Byerhoff; nephew, Daniel Leedham as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lester and Evelyn Jelinek and paternal grandparents, William and Susan Blair.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Burial will follow at Oswego Twp. Cemetery, Oswego, IL.
