Ida A. Crosby

Ida A. Crosby went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021 at the age of 99.
  
Ida was born on June 7, 1922, the youngest child of Herman and Ida Stredde.  She worked from a young age to help support her family after her parents passed.  While working at Richard Wilcox in Aurora, she met Merlin Crosby.  They married in 1943 and were married for 37 years until his death.  Together they had three children, Merlin, Robert, and Patti.  
Ida was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.  She will be remembered for her great love and devotion to her family, her many crocheted blankets, hundreds of Christmas cookies, and lots of fishing stories. 
She is survived by her children, Merlin (Antoinette) Crosby of Aurora, Minnesota, Robert (Annette) Crosby of Benton, Kentucky, and Patti (Dale) Hoovey of Yorkville, Illinois, her 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ida Stredde, her husband, Merlin Crosby, and her siblings, John, August, Bill, Herman, George, Carl, Fred, Augusta, Emma, Elizabeth, Freida, and Ann.
A private service will be held at Dieterle Memorial Home.
