Fermin Sosa

Fermin Sosa, 65, of Aurora, IL passed away on November 15, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 7, 1956 in Durango, Mexico the son of Eustaquio and Aniceta (Ochoa) Sosa. He was a longtime dedicated employee at Steiner Manufacturing for 18 years. He also took great pride in his career at Naperbrook Golf Course where he made the grounds look beautiful. He had a passion for “scraping” and will always be remembered for his positive attitude and his willingness to go above and beyond for anyone. He is survived by his beloved wife Maria; children, Irasema (EJ) Davis, Ariel F. Sosa, Jesus M. Sosa, Luis Sosa; grandchildren Jaelynn Sosa and Elijah and Ian Davis; siblings, Maria, Melquides, Esteban, Javier, Isabel and Carmen. He is also survived by his God-Daughter Katie Cepeda, his Yorkie Penelope as well as many nieces, nephews and dear relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margarita and brothers, Amalio and Domingo. Family will be receiving guests on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 620 5th Street, Aurora, IL 60505. Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
