Dale R Augustine

Dale Russell Augustine, 84 of Aurora, IL passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. Dale was born on June 16, 1937 in Aurora, IL. He is the son of Russell and Alma (Oestreicher) Augustine. Dale grew up in Aurora, and lived his whole life there. Dale married Margaret Parkhurst on February 22, 1958, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. His hobbies included gardening, painting by numbers, and being outdoors. Dale served as the Deputy Sheriff of Kane County for a number of years. He also had his own trucking company and worked for Moser’s. Dale and his wife, Maggie, volunteered with the PTA and he was a Deacon at Our Savior Lutheran Church. After retirement he went on to work at Dieterle Memorial Home where he found much enjoyment being a greeter. Dale is survived by his children Kimberly Augustine of Big Rock, IL, Dawn (Phil) Leibham of Flower Mound, TX, Cynthia (David) Everly of Edgerton, WI, and Kevin (Diane) Augustine of Oswego, IL. Besides his children, Dale is survived by his grandchildren, Jacob (Megan) Rossler, Maxzine (Brandon) Rossler, Heather (Josh) Moore, Brittaney (Jon) Portillo, Samuel (Mary Kate) Everly, Jessica Everly, Amanda (Jacob) Smith, Zachary (Becky) Everly, Robert (Melissa) Ferguson, and Ashley (Jason) Evans. Dale had 14 great grandchildren with one on the way, and his grandchildren's fur babies. Dale was survived by one brother, LeRoy Augustine, along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Augustine, parents, Russell and Alma Augustine, and two sisters, Delaine Denner and Elaine Wagner. Upon his wishes, Dale will be cremated and the family will have a private memorial at a later date.
