Carmen G. Valentin

Carmen G. Valentin, 78, of Aurora, IL passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was born December 13, 1943 the daughter of Maria Gonzalez and Jose Gerena. Carmen was a longtime employee of Wolsfelt's Victorian Bridals. Sewing was her passion. She loved to sew for family and friends  and took great pride in her work. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carmen is survived by her husband, German Valentin; children, Nilsa Valentin Reyna, Germane Valentin, Edwin Valentin, Debbie King; Grandchildren, Jose Reyna, Antonio Rodriguez, Adam Ortega, Alec Valentin, Eric Kopitke, Alyze Valentin, Takayla Valentin, William Valentin; and seven great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Gonzalez and Jose Gerena; daughter, Marilyn Valentin; and siblings, Sofia, Nina & Raul.

Family will be receiving guests on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. Therese of Jesus Catholic Church, 271 N Farnsworth Ave, Aurora, IL 60505. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery immediately following the service.
