Barbara S. Cella

Barbara S. Cella nee Cummings, 67, of Yorkville, IL passed away on September 7, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 13, 1955 in Evergreen Park, IL and was raised in Burbank. She was the daughter of Paul and Dorothy (Jarnell) Cummings. On January 3, 1981 she married David Cella. Together the two loved doing puzzles, catching up on their favorite shows and cross country motorcycle rides. Barb had a great love for outdoors, she enjoyed long walks, had a passion for gardening and loved feeding the birds with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife and dedicated mom but her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her six grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Cella; children, Brian (Phillip Banasiak) Saubert, Nicole Brenzek, Jennifer (Michael) Turner; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Ariannah, McKenna, Emilia and Kaden; brothers, Paul and Michael Cummings, sister, Laura (Gary) LaMonto; father-in-law Frank (the late Dawn) Cella; brother-in-law Frank Cella, Jr., and sister-in-law Estelle Falgiatano. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Kiki.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Family will be receiving guests on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538.
